Smith+Nephew Travel Policy:

HCP Travel/Accommodations: Travel and/or accommodations must closely align with start and end times of the activity; arrival no earlier than the day before and departure no later than the day after the activity/event. If the HCP changes travel arrangements, to arrive early or stay longer, they must do so at their own expense. S+N will not pay any costs resulting from this change. In addition, incidental travel expenses not directly related to the activity will not be reimbursed (including but not limited to: parking, mileage, fuel, ground transportation, meals, and drinks).

National Physician Payment Transparency Program:

All applicable payments/transfers of value associated with this event will be reported to The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in accordance with the National Physician Payment Transparency Program (commonly referred to as “Open Payments” and “The Sunshine Act”).

Covered Recipients:

The following U.S. licensed providers are subject to The Sunshine Act, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP: Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Anesthesiologist Assistants, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Teaching Hospitals.

NOTE: Specific rules apply for HCPs licensed in Vermont, Massachusetts, Minnesota or New Jersey.

US Government Employees:

Attendance by Federal, State or local US Officials requires the authorization and approval of the employing agency.
